Eppendorf 5415D Benchtop Centrifuge
This centrifuge was procured from a local academic institution who needed to reduce bench space square footage. It is in great condition, has been tested, and operates to manufacturer’s specifications.
Centrifugation and Eppendorf: The stuff that legends are made of. And one such legend in the making is the new Centrifuge 5415 D, the logical successor to the classic 5415 C, the unrivalled model of longevity and ease of use in laboratories, clinics and research institutes throughout the world.
The 5415 D has the same user friendliness and all the tried and tested technical features of it’s predecessor, including the indestructible maintenance-free drive, which requires only 13 seconds to bring the rotor to the maximum speed of 13,200 rpm (max. rcf: 16,110 x g). The rotor runs so smoothly that particles that have already been centrifuged are not subject to any unwanted vibrations.
The easy-to-follow digital display shows all significant setting parameters at a glance. By simply turning the familiar dials – a classic in their own right – the speed and run time can be set quickly and easily. Further, pressing in the right-hand dial enables you to switch the display from rpm to rcf as required.
Can be operated using the same 24-position standard rotor for 1.5 ml and 2.0 ml tubes or with the 36-position special rotor for 0.5 ml tubes. This unit comes with the 24 position rotor F-45-24-11, aluminum, 45° degree angle, 24 bores, for 1.5/2.0 ml microcentrifuge tubes, complete with polypropylene lid. The applicational spectrum is further expanded by the optional aerosol-tight lid for the standard rotor.
Features:
Small and quiet
Dials and a digital display G rpm/rcf setting as required G Separate short-spin key
Max. rcf: 16,110 x g
Maintenance-free drive
Space-saving design
24-position standard rotor for 1.5/2.0 ml tubes (adapters available for 0.2 ml, 0.4 ml, 0.5 ml and 0.6 ml tubes); autoclavable
Can be used with optional 36-position special rotor for 0.5 ml tubes (Not included with this unit)
